Marsha's love for art began at an early age. As a child she was strongly influenced by her mother who is an accomplished artist. In the late nineties she decided to pursue her art full time and formed Zulim Bowers Designs. The artists skills lie in her diversity of subject matter and mediums. Earlier in her career she painted primarily on canvas with oil or acrylic. She won numerous awards and sold her art locally. One day while shopping at a boutique she came upon a beautiful hand-painted dresser. Inspired, she tried her hand at painted furniture. She fell in love with the art form. Over the next few years she broadened her skills into the decorative art field. Her services include canvas murals, Trompe L'oeil, painted furniture, painted canvas valances, fine faux finishes and fine art paintings.
In 2005, Marsha purchased a kiln and began painting on ceramic tile. Most recently, one of her hand painted canvas window valances was included in a sewing book published by Readers Digest. She also markets her children's line of painted furniture and accessories through select online retailers. Her childrens line has been very popular and she plans on expanding her line in the spring of 2007. Marsha continues to pursue her fine art painting. She recently earned a Certificate of Completion in the Old Master's Methods-The Flemish/Bistre Method through Liliedahl's School of Classic Oil Painting. Marsha's art has been purchased by many private and commercial collectors throughout the United States. She finds great satisfaction working one-on-one with her clients and strives to create beautiful works of art of the highest quality that may be passed down through generations.
